Bertram Nursery Group Ltd was formed in 2007, bringing together Happitots Day Nurseries Ltd, Strawberry Hill Nursery and other subsidiaries. In early 2008 the group acquired the Holyrood Nursery Group and has since taken over other individual centres around the country. The group has grown over the past three years and now owns and operates over thirty nurseries and a growing number of out of school care centres meeting the needs of local families, communities and business across the United Kingdom. This includes a number of contracted services.
Our passionate commitment to being a leading independent provider of Early Years Care and Education and providing our unique Bertram brand of quality to all children in our centres has led to us being the proud recipients of many impressive awards. These have included recognition by various local authorities across the UK, local and national business awards, and the prestigious Nursery Management Today National Awards in Business development, Training, Operations, Nursery Management, Nursery Team and Nursery Chef of the Year.
Our nurseries are all health promoting centres and all participate in their local health initiatives. We have achieved Golden Grin Awards, NHS accreditation for our menus, ECO-Schools certificates and consistently achieve good reports from our regulatory bodies, Ofsted and SCSWIS.
