What Your Facility Provides

Our under 3’s follow 0-3 curriculum and the 3-5’s follow Curriculum for Excellence which is in line with Glasgow City Council Guidelines.  We are are also in partnership with Glasgow City Council and follow their planning for both ages groups.

0-18 months Department

This age group is housed on the purpose built unit to the back of the main building.  This room is decorated in natural colours to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere.  The children are provided with a large variety of natural and heuristic materials.

18 months-3 years Department

This age group is based in two rooms on the ground floor of the main building, one of which rooms is used for imaginative play and the other large room is split into two halves which have messy/dining area and the other side is for more structured play.

These are approximate ages as the children will be supported in their transition when they are emotionally and physically ready.

3-5 Department

This age group is accommodated in the whole upstairs of the main building.  This includes a separate room for messy play and dining area.  They also have a small imaginative play room at the back of the main playroom.

In this area we offer a warm, caring, safe and stimulating environment where we offer opportunity to play freely as the emphasis is on learning through play.  There is a separate language and literacy area (including computers).

The 3-5 children are provided by a host of a curriculum activities with support from our Glasgow City Council teacher as well as extra input from a gymnastics instructor to boost their physical development.

Garden

We have a fabulous secluded garden which is separated into two areas and it is equipped with a large variety of resources and equipment designed to develop all areas of the curriculum with both planted and grassed areas, a wooden house, a large wooden climbing frame and a ladybird log pile area.  We have also gained our Silver Eco Award.

Meal & Snacks

We provide nutritious well balanced snacks and lunches all of whicha are cooked by our own trained cook.  Our menus have been accredited by Greater Glasgow N.H.S.  We also cater for special or medical or dietary requirements.

Parking Facilities

There is car parking within the front of the building for drop off and picking up of your children.
