Hummingbird House is situated in the beautiful city of Dunblane, with its calm and peaceful community. There are easy links to the motorway network, excellent parking for drop off and pick up and just a short walk to the local train station. The service is very much a part of the local community making links with Dunblane, Newton and St. Mary Primary Schools, Dunblane High and Queen Victoria High and providing both nursery and out of school care services.
The service is housed in two buildings, a large two storey sandstone villa and a new build single storey property each with direct access to the outdoor play areas. Younger children are based in the single storey unit with pre-school and out of school care children using the two storey property.
Each building is divided into specially designed play rooms, beautifully furnished and equipped with a plentiful range of quality resources.
Children are cared for by a dedicated team of childcare practitioners who work closely with parents to ensure exceptional service standards are delivered at all times. Through partnership working staff, parents and children have created a very special setting with an ethos of care and respect where each child is valued as a unique and beautiful human being. The Nursery Manager and the atmosphere she has created were highly commended at a national awards ceremony.
The nursery is a recognised Investor in People and an ECO schools centre.
Hummingbird House operates in partnership with Stirling Council to offer funded pre-school education sessions.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday all year round for the following sessions:
Full Day Session: 8am to 6 pm
Morning Session: 8am to 1pm
Afternoon Session: 1pm to 6pm
